Norm has 24 years of corporate management experience in Information Technology and over 10 years as a private practicing career counselor. He employs structured methods and assessments to facilitate career work with individuals and groups. He is a facilitator with years of experience in management development and career management training. Norm has his own business, Career Insights, with offices in Walnut Creek and San Francisco. He recently wrote a book that has been published ‰ÛÒ Thinking Outside the Cubicle – How to Change the Job You Have Into the Job You Want.
Norm is a career-changer who returned to graduate school to earn a Masters Degree in Counseling with a specialty in Career Management. He is a member of the faculty of the John F. Kennedy University Masters Program for Career Counseling. Norm has been a frequent guest on a radio show broadcast to the San Francisco and Monterrey Bay Areas – the Seeing Beyond Radio Show.
Norm has delivered management programs in a corporate setting for many years. He has taught the structured disciplines of problem-solving and decision-making to technologists in a program spanning 8 years. Norm was selected to become part of the leadership program sponsored by the CEO of Bank of America, and for 2 years he traveled the world as one of a team of trainers, to bring the program to all parts of this multi-national company. Norm team-taught in 73 week-long programs in California, New York, and overseas; in Selsdon Park, England for manager of Europe, Middle East and Africa; in Bangkok, Thailand for managers from 14 countries in Asia.
Norm blends his management, technology, and career management training to bring very powerful techniques to help individuals and groups be aware of the changing landscape of the world of work and to take effective action to find and achieve fulfilling work.
